Sherri Shepherd

 Sherri Shepherd is an American actor, comedian writer, author and television presenter, was born on 22nd April 1967, in Chicago. She is the daughter of LaVerne Shepherd, and Lawrence Shepherd. Her father served as a deacon at the church of the family. She also ran restaurants, while her mother was cleaning homes. Shepherd is the third oldest of three children. Shepherd was a student at Hoffman High School. She was employed as an Beverly Hills legal secretary and started stand-up comedy. After being chosen to be a part of "Cleghorne" which was a brief-lived comedy about entertainment, she was inspired to quit her job to take on a new career as an entertainer. The show was a hit on The WB network for one season in 1995. Shepherd was forced to quit the show in 1995 due to financial issues. She stayed on for one year with her friends as she looked for jobs. In the year 1996, Shepherd was cast as an actor in "The Jaime Foxx Show," the sitcom Jaime Foxx created. This show aired only for one season on The WB network. In the latter part of the 1990s she also got regular roles in the sitcom "Suddenly Susan" (now "Everybody Loves Raymond")
